Why this one? Charlie is out of our first litter of German Shorthaired Pointers. He will be six at the end of Dec, 2004. When he finished his Canadian championship under Annie Rogers Clark he was a very gangly 15 month old puppy. She told me I needed to be patient and that he would be a very special dog when he was about 5 yrs old. I couldn't wait and before he was 3 yrs old he had earned his Mexican, Latin American and FCI International championships in four straight shows with four excellent ratings from an international judging panel. Campaigned briefly (about 5.5 months) in Canada in 2002, he finished out as a group winner with multiple placements, #5 GSP All Breed and #2 in Breed points. He went back to Mexico as a special for four days in late Nov 2002. He defeated the top Sporting Dog in Mexico for the breed two out of four days (going BOS the other two) and taking home a group win and
his group second under breeder judge Claudio Giuiliani. Now retired except for the occasional foray into the US in search of a final major, Charlie is the heart of Nuthatch. His wonderful personality makes the
house whole. He reminds me that a good GSP can win anywhere and produce offspring that can do the same.
